Landscapes
Witnessing the broad and open space that makes up most of America left me speechless.
Living amidst an ocean of grapevines in northern California, I yearned for more. Traveling further north to Montana, I settled in a place where the sky holds dominion. Whenever I made a brief stop in my travels, I would pull out my oil pastels and Fabriano artistic paper to recreate these spaces.
The work ended up on film sets, doctors offices’ and homes all over America. As collectors gravitated towards what resonated most for them, I witnessed a sense of peacefulness settle over them. For this reason along, I titled the series, “Land Meditations.”
Currently I meander through Los Angeles, photographing 100-year-old architectural details and graffiti juxtaposed against the brilliant skies, seeking my next inspiration.
